I started my training as a therapist at a critical point in my career – I was working in the legal industry and whilst I was happy at the Firm and the work kept me busy and challenged; I just couldn’t imagine myself continuing to work in the field.
I opted for volunteer work as a counsellor and really felt I had found something that I was instinctively drawn to. Hence me pursuing this as a career instead of law.
A little about me;
- I am married with two children
- I identify as neurodivergent & on the queer spectrum
- I have been in therapy four times (including couples counselling)
I have a natural warmth and ability to create solid relationships; this is key to building a therapeutic relationship. I am a firm believer that by acknowledging our difficulties, we have the chance to re-shape how we cope with them.
